I have a class full of eager and energetic students.

They overcome adversity every day when they simply walk through my classroom doors. It is here when they can let down their guard and live up to their full potential. Although they live in an impoverished area of Brooklyn, NY, I teach my students they do not have to be a product of their environment. My students know each time they walk through my classroom doors they will feel loved.

My classroom runs like a family. I expect everyone to treat each other with love and respect, to look out and help one another in need. My classroom is a place where barriers and walls can come down and my students can flourish because they know I only want them to be great. We learn lessons that go beyond standards, lessons that are useful for growth throughout life. I have never seen such a caring and loving bunch of kids. They are always eager to please their teacher.

My Project

In order to stay healthy and avoid getting sick, it is now recommended that people wear kn95 masks. They are not always easy to find nor are they affordable for all families.

These kn95 masks will be supplied to the students in my class who need them to help keep them safe from covid-19 and help stop the spread of the virus.

There is currently a very high infection rate in the area that serves my school district. I am hoping that eventually, New York City will start supplying the masks but until then I would like to see my students' safety at the forefront. This mask upgrade will help protect all of the students in my class as well as friends in other classes, faculty and staff members, and our community at large.
