My scholars are a creative and innovative group. My goal is to help them realize their potential by cultivating academic excellence and recognizing their individual strengths. While there have been many new challenges this school year as we navigate new ways of learning since the COVID-19 pandemic, my scholars are meeting these challenges with resilience, flexibility, and perseverance.
In a post-pandemic world, we are very conscious of making sure our learning space is clean, sanitized, and germ-free.
With that in mind, we make sure to wipe surfaces after every small group, wash our hands frequently, and keep bottles of sanitizer in several spots around the room.
One of the easiest and most effective materials for reducing the spread of germs is tissues. With plenty of Kleenex tissues stocked in multiple spots in our room, students will always have what they need when the sniffles hit. Next to each Kleenex box will be a bottle of hand sanitizer (from existing stock). With this project, I have requested cases of tissues that should last us through Christmas break.
