This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are inquisitive, bright, and enthusiastic learners. They are interested in learning and staying engaged during our online and in person lessons. Despite the fact that they've been learning remotely due to the pandemic, they are eager to learn. On August 16 students will return to campus.
Unfortunately many families are experiencing unemployment, evictions, COVID-19, and loss of loved ones.
Many students of our community live in small apartments or homes where they live with several families due to the high cost of living. Some families can't afford to buy basic school supplies for their children.
My Project
Students will use binders to organize their math materials. They will also use the fraction flashcards as visual aides to help them learn fractions. In addition, they will have Kleenex facial tissue and toilet paper to take home if they need it.
Students are often too embarrassed to say that their families need help to buy basic supplies like binders, flashcard and Kleenex items like tissue and toilet paper.
Help us have a supply of these basic materials at school to help out our students and their families. Let's chip in and make it happen!
