The students I work with will have their first experience in school when they enter my classroom. I have twenty young friends between the ages of three and five who are excited and eager to learn. All of the children are from a low-income area and each day in the classroom is a new experience for them. For many, it may be the first time they will be exposed to basic academic learning skills such as colors, shapes, letters, and numbers.
My Project
Dramatic Play is a large part of any Early Childhood Classroom, and ours is in need of an upgrade. This center is very popular with the children and has been loved and well played with for many years. Currently, our kitchen from the 70's is showing its age. The cabinets will not stay closed, and the paint is wearing thin.
A new kitchen set to remodel our dramatic play center will be a welcome addition to our classroom.
The new kitchen set will continue to bring joy for years to all the children who enter my classroom!
