My Students

Our students are climbing the mountain to college and being able to access and comprehend a high school level text prior to entering a high school classroom will greatly ease that struggle.

Our students are from a variety of backgrounds which afford a number of challenges.

However each student all truly embodies the KIPP motto "Work Hard. Be Nice." KIPP schools are a network of rigorous pubic charter schools which are committed to getting students to and through college no matter what obstacles stand in their way. Students attend school until 5 on weekdays and even attend schools on Saturdays. Our students continue to show the world what is possible in public education.

My Project

Your contribution to these resources will greatly enhance our students' ability to thrive in a high school level classroom. Exploring themes and approaches to literature analysis will provide the students the tools necessary to excel at this vital task. These texts will offer a great introduction to classic literature that they will be reading throughout high school and college. Please, help my students get 6 box sets of the Hunger Games to boost their literacy skills!

These texts will make a difference in these students' confidence to master literacy skills. These books will provide the opportunity to have conversations which will increase their interpersonal communication skills. If you are able please contribute!
