Help me give my students 24 outdoor clipboards so that they can continue to explore, observe, and illustrate what they experience outdoors. I would also like to provide them with family engaged activities to enhance their learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher of 22 very energetic and eager to learn Kindergartners. My students are from various ethnic backgrounds and many are from low income households. Yet, each morning, they enter the classroom with a "Good Morning" and a smile.
My students are building a classroom community.
We are working on how we can listen to each other, cooperate, be empathetic, and support one another in a positive way as we accomplish our goals.
The students enjoy collaborating during activities, sharing and comparing their thoughts with others. My goal is to provide the students with a safe and nurturing environment, so that, the students are not intimidated to speak in front of their peers and can persevere in their learning at school and at home.
My Project
These Outdoor Clipboards will be used daily. Since these clipboards are safe for outdoors and durable, they will be easy to clean and will allow the students to expand their curiosity outdoors.
These clipboards will allow the students to differentiate their learning.
They will have a choice of working independently, with a partner or collaborate with a group of students.
The Family Backpack Activities will enable parents to be involved in their child's learning in a fun way that the whole family can engage in. These items will enhance the students' education, love for learning and develop their academic, fine motor, math, science and language skills.
