Kindness Transformation: Students Lead the Pack

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, we are starting a "Kindness Squad" at our school. Students will be able to join the club and commit to spreading kindness throughout our school community. Our weekly squad meetings will consist of a SEL lesson on kindness and then an activity to correspond with what we have learned as we truly believe that kindness is contagious. These engaging activities will bring our school and community together. Students will create happiness by greeting parents and students in the morning with music, cheers, and kind words, write various kindness messages that will be posted throughout the hallways, give shout outs to classes demonstrating kindness, and hand out kindness coins to peers caught being kind. Coins could then be traded for rewards. We need a portable speaker, a bubble machine, motivational cards, and other resources to successfully implement a KINDNESS SQUAD.
