Help me give my students acrylic paint, a variety of paint brushes, and smooth flat rocks to paint kind messages on and spread kindness in elementary school.

My Project

Elementary school is a fun and exciting place. So many new things to do and friends to meet. But, it can be a hard transition for some students. Students who are new or transfer in, students who look different or feel different can have a rough time. It's hard to learn to make friends and be part of a peer group and do it in a kind and welcoming way. It can be easier if you have a creative outlet to start you on your kindness journey.

I would like to provide students an important lesson on being kind.

Remind them of the reasons why it is important to be friendly and make people feel welcome. Work on being constructive and not on criticizing their peers. This project will provide rocks and paint and brushes to the students so they can paint kindness rocks for our school garden. This project will encourage them to be kind and brighten someone's day.
