My Students

Most of my students are developing English Language skills and are from diverse backgrounds. Most have recently come to this country from another country and are working on learning the language. All are motivated and eager to assimilate into the culture and strive for success.

Our school is located in Brooklyn.

We are a 6-12 school and we do not screen students. We invite all students with open arms and we work hard to provide all students with the resources they need.

My Project

This is a community building project where students will use paints, storage baskets, art boxes and other supplies to work together to create and design inspirational messages on rocks. The rocks will be kept in a strategic location so that people from the community can select the rock that 'speaks' to them. This project is a national project and so students will also have the opportunity to connect with other groups who are also doing the same project in other places around the country. This project will allow students to be creative and to give back to the community. The message could be one word or a quote or a picture!
