Kindness Rocks Painting Project

Help me give my students paint markers and river rocks so they may create a social emotional powerhouse project called #kindnessrocks.

My Project

This project promotes social-emotional learning, helping students recognize the power of positivity in their daily lives. The process of creating and sharing these kindness rocks teaches empathy, mindfulness, and the importance of small gestures in making a big difference. It also strengthens our school culture by emphasizing that “It’s nice to be nice,” and that a simple act of kindness can brighten someone’s day.

Each rock will include a positive word, phrase, or image to inspire kindness, and on the back, we will include the tag #kindnessrocks so that community members who find them can share their experience.

This ongoing social-emotional experiment will begin in our classroom but has the potential to extend far beyond, making kindness contagious in our school and local community.
