Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a classroom full of diverse learners from various communities! Our classroom is a classroom blended with learners with IEPs and general education students. Once a week, we give the students opportunities to play games in our classroom. This helps build kindness and promote collaboration for the students.
We are asking for a Nintendo Switch and games to go along with it because our students have asked each week for the opportunity to play video games with one another.
Some of these students have not had the opportunity to play video games at home, so this gives them a chance to play with their classmates and practice sharing a "kind space" within our classroom walls.
While playing on our new devices and gaining wonderful prizes and candy, students will learn to foster a love for promoting kindness with one another on a day to day basis. It is our hopes that they will become leaders in their school community to show one another kindness and empathy everyday.
