My Project
Our high school is initiating PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support) this year to help our students learn to be good citizens in school, in their communities and globally. The requests are to help show our kids that good social behavior and kindness has good consequences. The electronics that are requested can all be used in school and at home to help our kids be on task and keep up with their assignmens and to also be creative in their classes. Covid has stopped social and emotional learning, and with a lot of love and cooperation, we are trying to bring this back to our students. Our kids are loving and generous, but they don't understand how to express these emotions in a healthy way.
The faculty and staff are working together to help our students learn how to express themselves with grace and dignity.
At the same time, they are also learning how to prevent dissension or strife by being thoughtful and kind to others.
As a way to get our kids to understand what is expected of them, we will reward the expected behaviors with gifts and drawings. We will also reward our faculty and staff for their support in the same way.
