This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The resources will help us out with our community service initiative of the Kindness Captains. In this initiative we will have "kindness corners" around campus where students and teachers can nominate individuals who have been seen being kind and showing random acts of kindness either on campus or in the community. Every week the Kindness Captains will read through and select 2 people to recognize for their good deeds and give them a little token of appreciation. This will create an incentive for others to be kind and spread the kindness and eventually improve the school culture to be more caring and empathetic towards others.
