Kindness Bags after Hurricane Helene

Help me give my students items to create kindness bags for those friends who are having a rough day throughout the school!

My Project

Humanity is defined in various ways but to show compassion for those in need and to help others is one of our most endearing qualities. My class and I plan to prep kindness bags to include candy, positive affirmation cards, and bracelets. These bags will provide immediate assistance to those in need in our school and community. After the hurricane, many are displaced due to no electricity. Many are still without water and there are wiping heaps of debris around our community.

For this project, we are asking for hair accessories, candy, positive and smelly stickers, and deodorant or other items to help students feel kindness!

My cool students will assist by portioning the goods into individual bags. They will also use our own paper to write kind notes that they can place in the kindness bags. My students love to help others and I know they will feel good being able to do something for the community and help them the best we can. Our kindness can make a real difference in someone’s life.
