My Project

My students are amazing! They love learning and come from diverse backgrounds, many of which are low-income. The multi-cultural make-up of my classroom excites new learning each year and invites many inquisitive questions and opportunities to learn about cultures from around the world. This year, I'd like to add resources that allow children to see themselves in their home classroom and promote kindness and acceptance. I want them to understand their value in our world!

Most students do not see their individual cultures valued and depicted in positive ways, through cultures of kindness and diversity presented in our world.

Building the self-esteem of my students, while promoting the celebration of diversity and kindness on a daily basis, is my goal. These materials will get into the hands of my students and allow them to see what I see...immense potential for greatness in our world!

Please help me bring current materials on topics of kindness and diversity into my first-grade classroom this year!
