My Students

I teach a fun, active group of 25 second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!

My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.

They need engaging ways to practice the skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!

They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.

My Project

My students love using technology. They beg to use it daily and are excited when we get to use technology. I have found so many high quality programs that really enhance our learning. These programs also reach children at their level and challenge children who need it.

We are living in a world where technology is in the forefront.

Kids need to know how to use technology and explore the different resources available to them.

Kindles would work great in our classroom because the children struggle to use laptops. The track pad is tricky for them and they lack the fine motor skills to use it effectively. They aren't their developmentally yet. The Kindle is a touch screen device and they are able to use it without frustration.

With these kindles children could complete assignments that weren't available to them before. They can record videos instead of doing a worksheet. Tests can be submitted through an online platform to allow immediate feedback. These Kindles would truly improve our learning.
