My Students

As a teacher in a Title 1 school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to engage and excite them while they are learning.

My students have a love for learning and technology engages them.

They are eager to learn and soak up everything that happens in our classroom. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By giving them opportunities to utilize technology, I am preparing them for the future. I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

Kindle Fires will enable my students to get hand-on technology to engage their learning. Students having access to apps for listening to a variety of stories to build fluency and a specific app that lets students document learning that is only visible in the classroom.

Kindle Fires will ignite my students to learn because technology is

FUN! They will think they are playing and five and six year old's still need an element of fun while they learn. In my classroom we utilize flexible seating so the Kindle Fires will be a wonderful addition that allows students to carry the device and work where the student is comfortable.
