My Project
Our kindness counts project will help my 1st graders learn the importance of kindness, empathy, community, and making a positive impact. Many of my students come from low income families that do not always know how to express their feelings. Through creating kindness buttons, cards for our local fire and police departments and nursing homes, kindness rocks, and bracelets, students are given a meaningful way to express care for others.
These simple acts of kindness build confidence, boost emotional development, and create a strong sense of belonging and purpose.
The goal is to show students that their kindness matters and that even small actions can bring joy and connections with others.
