I teach 25 miniature humans who have even smaller voices. We are working on projecting our voices when we are reading and having conversations. A microphone is just what we need to encourage my students to project their voices when they read and converse.
Kindergarten is a continuation of education for most students.
However, in Brooklyn's East New York, it is the first introduction of learning for my students. Our title 1 school is comprised of a community of diverse learners. My students are ready to dive into discovery and learning. We are ready to learn!
My Project
Most students have a chance at UPK. However, all of my students are newbies to this school thing. They are full of information but whisper when they speak and read. A microphone would be the coolest thing ever to them. In addition, cool books for them to read and enjoy would be the cherry on the pie! I want learning to be fun and exciting. A microphone would be a great way for my students to share, have fun, and retell in a loud voice. Kindergarten fun is going to take on a whole new meaning after these supplies ship.
