My Students
My students are wonderful little people who are so very excited about coming to school to learn. They love moving around the classroom working on activities together. They also like being able to make choices for themselves while they follow classroom rules and routines.
They are excited about learning and love to work together and help each other learn!
Most of my students come from low-income families who do not have access to lots of books for their reading level. My school is a Title I school where the students receive free lunch.
My Project
My little people are experiencing a wonderful school year so far this year with the opportunity to choose where they sit. They have gotten to know each other a lot quicker than years past, all because of being given the choice of where to sit in the classroom. They work so much better together when they have the control to choose who they will work with and when they work with someone else. They have learned to handle the responsibility of making these choices on their own. They would be so excited to be able to have bounce seats and wobble chairs added to their list of choices. Many of the students in my class like to move around while they sit learn! Bounce seats and wobble chairs would give them the flexibility to move around as they need, while still giving them the boundaries of a space of their own.
