My Students

I am teaching a kindergarten class that is comprised of students of all capabilities. Many of my students come from families who are new to the country; therefore, they are learning the English language. I also have some students who require special services. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs.

I am excited that my boys and girls are reading and writing.

Many of them are reading at a second-grade level, and I am very proud of them for that. They come to school every day eager to learn.

My Project

My students enjoy using iPad's in our classroom to reinforce reading and math skills. We use resources such as iReady, Raz Kids, and Google Slides which all require tablets. At the moment, we have two iPad minis and 20 students therefore not every child gets an opportunity to use the iPad weekly. My Kindergarten class needs one more iPad to make our center rotations more manageable. By having one more tablet, that will guarantee my students at least one rotation a week which will strengthen their reading and mathematical skills.
