Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a strong believer that if a student can learn by doing hands on activities, they will be so much more successful. All of these items are for a mixture all different styles of learning. The drawing projector will help students with their fine motor skills, and will help them with writing, because students need to draw before they can write. The items for learning centers will help them during small group time, where they can get one on one attention from their teacher or another adult.
The felt board will help with many different things.
First, it will help English language learners because they can visually see what’s happening in the story. Second, students will understand sequencing of a story. Third, it can be student lead, and they can help put the characters on the board while I’m reading the story. Items like the lacing animals, the tweezers, and the alpha bots will help my young learners with their fine motor skills, to increase their hand strength, which will help them learn how to write. I absolutely love watching students learn and play at the same time. I want to help students find a love for school and for learning and these items will help make that happen. I want to give all my students a chance to be successful in school. I want to be able to make a difference in their life!
