Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten brings back happy memories for most of us--help me make this first year of school for my students a fun learning experience.
My students attend a large Title I elementary school located in an urban and low-income neighborhood.
Many of my students did not attend preschool. For most this is their first experience attending a school. Most of my students are English Learners, which can make this first year of school even more difficult for them.
My Project
We need your help! I want to make this kindergarten year the most memorable for my students. Help me make learning fun for my students. We need resources to keep our kinder students engaged. In kindergarten we spend a lot of time working with small groups. You may be asking yourselves: "What do the other children do?" This is where you can help.
The phonemic awareness games, tabletop pocket charts, and pointers will not only be a great resource for my students, but they will be learning essential kinder skills while using them. My students love to use pointers to "Read the Room." Who would have thought that a simple pointer could make such a difference in a child's life? You too can make a big impact in a kindergartner's life.
