Help me give my students the ability to have flexible seating in a classroom setting with wobble seats and lap desks! I want all students to be able to sit comfortably to maximize their learning experience.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Currently, during independent work time, my students can choose to sit at their table or in a different area in the classroom with a whiteboard to press on. By having a lap desk available students will be able to keep their material organized while working in a place that is comfortable for them. Making sure students are comfortable is essential in motivating them. I have seen the amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. They are more engaged and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.

Giving students a choice in their learning is essential in building their confidence, especially during early elementary.

By utilizing flexible seating across the classroom students will be able to take control of their learning. The balance balls will be used in small group settings while working with me! These will be extremely beneficial for neurodivergent students or students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed!
