My Students
My students love everything about school, but most of all they LOVE to paint! We have an easel that students love to paint on. Each child looks forward to their turn to paint a big picture!
My students come to school on time every day filled with excitement about what they will learn.
They are enthusiastic about learning and they are proud of their ability to do things that they were never able to try before. My students LOVE experiencing new things and I love to teach them everything. One thing we are learning is to express ourselves through art.
My Project
Each week, we have a new theme for our painting easel. Students are allowed to paint one day for each project and they can paint for our theme with their own flare. The first week some of the paintings were very simple, but as the last few weeks have gone by their talents have blossomed. Passersby can't believe what great artists they have begun in such a short time. We can't stop now, so we need more paints. I am also requesting more paint cups so that I can keep each color in its own cup, and more brushes so we can have different sizes of brushes for different projects. Getting paint with pump dispensers will make setting up the easel quick and easy.
Our painting easel has changed the culture of our classroom.
My students are gaining skills and confidence. The kids can't wait for their turn and they love showing off their artwork when they are finished. I love seeing their creativity expressed on big beautiful paintings. They are so rewarding.
