This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergartners are 25 of the smartest, artistic and loving kids. They come to school each day eager to learn new things.

My students love to learn through hands-on activities which are certainly developmentally appropriate for their little minds.

My school is a Title 1 school, and all of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students are English Language Learners.

My students are in need of outdoor play equipment in order to engage in fun physical activities.

My Project

Outdoor play is a very important necessity for kindergarten students. As kindergarten has become very academic, one goal of mine is to ensure that outdoor play is not forgotten.

My students need to have games and equipment to engage in fun physical activities during outdoor play.

Having additional equipment and games will allow my students to improve their fine motor skills and continue to develop their social and emotional skills.

The development of social and emotional skills is extremely important for children. Outdoor play allows children to learn how to work together and how to share. Kids need our help to ensure they acquire such needed skills!
