it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a proud Kindergarten Teacher in an all Kindergarten school with 23 classrooms teeming full of excited and eager five and six year olds! Seventy percent of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch and our school population is over 40% Spanish-speaking.
With Recycling and Environmental concerns being at the forefront of the news these days, I realized that my little boys and girls are not too young to learn about these issues and the impact they can have on our wonderful planet Earth.
These resources will introduce my children to the basic principles of water. They will incorporate the vital role the students can play in conserving water. The children will experiment with properties of water. My hopes would be they can gain an enthusiasm that will rub off on their family!
With your financial support, these important items can make their way into our classroom this school year. Included in this proposal are two water-related math and literacy games that we can use to integrate the water conservation theme into all areas of our day.
