I have a wonderful Kindergarten class of 25 students. My class does a unit study of Fairy Tales in their writings.
We are going to the see the classic play of Peter and the Wolf. Peter and the Wolf has been loved by children all over the world. And its moral — you can't be a hero if you don't take risks — delights children. A different instrument and melody represents each character. These sounds and themes introduced become an excellent link to understanding and appreciating classical and other music. The story is a true adventure, also represents love, friendship and caring, greed, arrogance and prejudice.
Peter and the Wolf would be beneficial for their writings, but at the same time is the an excellent additional to the Social Studies aspect of the study of feelings.
It would be a delight to see their faces light up and you can make it happen. Trips can be very expensive for the low income families. We need your assistance to pay the cost of the tickets. Thank you for all your assistance and making learning fun.
