Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to build a community garden outside of the kindergarten classrooms. This will last for years to come but initially we need planter beds, tools, garden hose reel cart, soil, plants and seeds. We will be looking for soil from another source as we will need a lot.

Kindergarten loves to discover.

A garden will allow our students to develop investigational skills and be able to journal daily about their observations. Gardening will help teach responsibility and self-confidence when the see the results of their labor. We will also be able to learn how to garden in our own homes to provide fresh healthy food for our families.
