Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The specific items I am requesting make a difference in my student's learning because they will be connecting their knowledge of selfege pitches and musical literacy to the notes on a xylophone. They will also apply their knowledge of beats and rhythm to the rhythm sticks.
My goals for this project are to give kindergarten musical instruments for the first time.
Music is a form of expression requiring teamwork, critical thinking, and artistic choice. Music is also interdisciplinary giving students the chance to connect to other subjects in a very meaningful way.
My students are special because they are kind and respectful. They are grateful for every opportunity that is given to them and I know that they will be gentle and kind to materials that are given to them.
