Technology is the cool way to teach! My students need to have an array of different learning activities to use on our interactive Smart Board.
The students in my kindergarten classroom come with varying needs.
I am an inclusion classroom and teach students who have special needs as well as general needs. The kids in my class are eager to learn and love to feel success! Our school is a full Title 1 school which means a large portion of our families are low income and on free or reduced lunches.
My Project
I am requesting various interactive software to use on my new Smart Board. The games that can be used on the Smart Board are wonderful to use in whole group, small groups, and one-on-one student instruction. The phonemic awareness skills software would help my students work on rhyming, syllable counting, sound switching and more! I will use the letter of the day software to begin each day reviewing our focus letter(s). My students will benefit from this software because they think it's "play time" and are very eager to participate on the board.
My project is crucial because I have a wonderful new tool (Smart Board) in my classroom, but don't have enough learning games for it.
The new software will give the kids many more opportunities to be successful in reading and math with our Common Core Standards. Thank you for considering my project and taking the time to learn about the needs of my students!
