This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students have access to a wide range of Language Arts and Mathematics programs on our computer, but unfortunately they are not able to hear them. The built-in speaker is not loud enough to reach every student in the classroom.
I teach a group of 25 enthusiastic and energetic five year olds.
The majority of our school population is comprised of English Language Learners. Many of them qualify for free or reduced lunches. They are very hard-working students and they try their best to meet their academic goals. My students enjoy using technology in the classroom, and they love to create projects. They are active learners when technology is used during instruction.
When we are able to use educational programs along with our projection screen and our media cart that was so generously donated by DonorsChoose.org last year, the curriculum is brought to life. However, we are missing a crucial component and that is the audio portion. We also need a flash drive to save all of the projects that are created using our technology.
My Project
With the help of so many generous donors I have been able to bring technology into my classroom. Having the opportunity to explore the World Wide Web or to interact with math and Language Arts games on a computer via a projection screen is amazing especially if you can hear the audio portion. Your donation will help me to provide students with the ability to get the most benefit from our technology. We will also be able to save all of the projects that are created by the students on a flash drive that will also be shared with our parents.
Having all of this technology in our classroom allows teachers to reach students from all modalities.
Students have the opportunity to see lessons visually on a screen, they can directly interact with the computer and the games as well as the Internet. They can also hear it loud and clear. The speakers we are asking for will definitely help my students hear every lesson loud and clear. We will also be able to save all of our projects. We really appreciate your generous donations.
