This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class has a steady hum of activity. I want my students to feel so caught up in learning that they are not even aware that learning is going on. To reach my diverse learners I draw upon strategies that promote active engagement so that all my students can participate to their fullest potential.
My students love learning, and why wouldn't they?
It's contagious! This year my students will be in a dual language program where all students will be learning English and Spanish. The majority of my students will be English language learners and I will have some students who only speak English. As a school, we are 86% economically disadvantaged and most receive free or reduced price lunch.
My Project
My students will be using the Apple TV on a daily basis. I will be able to model and project lessons and activities directly from my iPad so that students can follow along while I continue to circulate and monitor students around the classroom. The bluetooth speakers will be used daily as well. As a Kindergarten class, we listen and interact with music nearly all day long. Sometimes we are on the carpet, other times at our desks, or centers. The bluetooth speaker will allow me to access music from my iPad anywhere in the classroom.
The Apple TV, bluetooth speakers, and cable will allow my students to access the curriculum through the use of technology.
My students will become more comfortable with the integration of technology and acquire the necessary skills for a 21st century learner.
