Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our integrated co-teaching classroom features students from every walk of life and many different perspectives. We are a classroom of English language learners, some students having learning or physical disabilities. The students in our class are accustomed to not having much and are incredibly grateful for everything they receive.

Our dramatic play center has been the center of focus in our classroom this school year, so far it has been a kitchen, a hospital, and now these little city kids want to go camping!

Camping is a completely foreign experience to our students, but one that garners a lot of interest whenever it comes up in a read aloud or lesson!

We aren't sure when our students will have the chance to go camping in real life, but we are ready to give them a full campground in the classroom! We are asking for fire background, a tent, lots of tools, a hiking set, and an insect inspecting kit. We are going for the full experience! We thank you in advance to contributing to this experience for our students.
