My Students

My students are creative and passionate about learning. They thrive on hands-on activities and love to work together to solve problems. I often observe them "playing school" and teaching one another the lesson of the day. They love all subjects and really enjoy working and learning together.

Unfortunately my district suffered from budget cuts this year so a lot of the resources that my students had in the past are no longer available.

I am hopeful that this project will help my classroom gain some of the resources that we have been lacking so my students can continue to learn and grow in a creative environment.

My Project

This project will help my students have the necessary resources to express their creativity. My students love to see their work displayed around the school and classroom and we are currently working with minimal resources. The walls are bare and they should be surrounded by color.

These resources will help students build their literacy and math skills.

Whether it be new paper to practice their handwriting or carpet dots to reinforce number recognition, every item will be helpful. I look forward to making a letter sound wall and having students create pictures with the fresh crayons of things that begin with a specific letter sound. We are beginning to write CVC words and the dry erase markers will help practice their weekly spelling words. I also hope to use the supplies in different math and language arts centers. It will greatly enhance their learning environment and continue to help them feel at home in their classroom.
