My Students

Teaching Kindergarten is similar to herding cats and teaching them at the same time. But I enjoy doing that. I am starting my 21st year of teaching next week. I will have 27 or more new kinder friends. My class will have girls and boys with a wide range of learning abilities and learning needs.

Kindergarteners learn so much this year in school.

Students are excited to learn, love coming to school, and they believe their teacher can do no wrong.

I realize I have an impact on my students and I take this responsibility seriously. I want my students to have a desire to learn and I want them to absolutely love kindergarten.

My Project

My students need STEM activities, storage tubs, mini- iPad cases, head phones and art supplies to challenge their minds and keep our classroom organized.

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math.

In kindergarten, students learn best when they build and create. We currently have ten mini i-Pads in our classroom that students use daily, but we need head phones and protective cases.

We also need tubs to organize our new STEM materials. In kindergarten, we move from one activity to the next without a minute to spare. These items will help our classroom stay organized. I am teaching the students to be responsible and to clean up after themselves. These organizational tools will help the students know where each item belongs.
