My Students

We are a half-poverty, high-need population in Northern California. Our school has no extra funds; we are without many things. Kindergarten is a time to explore and realize who you are, who you would want to be, and to feel safe. Unfortunately, almost 40% or more of my students are without many supplies. During this pandemic, we as teachers need supplies and so do our students

As a teacher, there is so much I can do, and there is nothing at times I can do.

This is why we need your help. These children are so thankful, so wonderful and all they need is someone to believe in them. Therapeutic play can serve in individual growth purposes. In childhood, the therapeutic play serves both social and personal functions. Children who have had traumatic experiences can work out their demons encountered by their childhood experience as well as many challenges and anticipations of the future. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and countries. I am so lucky to be their teacher.

My Project

We are going back to IN-CLASS LEARNING! I think this project will make all the difference in the world. Each student will receive a clear backpack filled with all their supplies to place on the back of their chair and at the end of the year, they can take them home. The classroom is barren and needs some basic supplies to help us jump-start this year. My students' classroom needs basic supplies. With the outdated classroom and no books at all, these wonderful supplies will be a welcome to my classroom. I think these back packs filled with supplies will be such a great impact and will help my students strive and grow into the learners they were meant to be. Thank you so much for giving your time or donation even if it is 10 dollars. We need altruistic people like you in our schools! This will be very powerful for my kindergarten classroom.

In PERSON LEARNING is about to begin in San Francisco.

We need donors like yourselves to help us achieve a successful start. These backpacks will be the personal ownership of each student. Some students cannot afford to buy supplies, this will help ensure every student has a fair equitable start to the beginning of IN PERSON LEARNING! WHOHOOO!!

Most students come in not knowing the letters of the alphabet, but must leave knowing how to read. I believe these supplies will help my students in so many ways, especially the high poverty students. Kindergartners have to learn how to read before they leave to go to first grade (different than when you and I went). Please feel empowered to know you will be helping inner city 25 kindergartners how to read. Thank you.
