This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every morning we start the day with a song, "Lets Get Fit to the Alphabet." We then get right into learning about words. My students would love to be able to have some magnetic letters and definitely a Leap Pad to learn about words!
Please help my students!
I work in an urban school in Connecticut. 100% of the students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. My classroom has 20 students right now. However, our numbers change constantly. For almost all of my students, kindergarten is their first exposure to school.
My Project
By having this tablet and whiteboards with magnetic letters in my classroom, it would allow for students to work independently at a work center everyday. Having 2 students work independently will allow me to be more focused on my small group instruction because these students would not need my help.
By having this tablet, it will help improve my students' learning of phonemic awareness skills, math skills, and reading in a fun and interactive way. I am asking for 1 tablet with covers, games and headphones.
