My Students
Learning to read is so important! With your help my students will get a strong foundation in learning the alphabet and beginning reading skills.
I teach a diverse kindergarten class with over half of my class being ELL (English language learners).
Many of my students are not only learning how to read, but also learning how to speak English. I spend a lot of time teaching my students the alphabet since most of them come to kindergarten knowing few, if any, letters.
My Project
One of the most important things that I teach my students in kindergarten is the alphabet. Learning the letters and sounds are the first steps in learning how to read. The addition of 2 sets of Alpha Tales books to our classroom library would a tremendous help. These book sets are a wonderful resource and each set includes a book for each of the alphabet. These books have great stories and fun illustrations that I know my students would love! Students would get to practice reading the books and finding words and pictures in the books that start with each letter of the alphabet. Students can never get enough practice reading!
