Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 24 bilingual students who enjoy listening to stories, write stories, and act out stories. Most of my students receive free breakfast everyday and receive free lunch. We are a Title I school with more than 900 students. For some of my students, this is their first year in school, and some of them do not have access to books or have someone that reads to them at home. They love to come to school to read, listen, and act out stories.

My Project

All my students want to read the classic stories but having puppets and the books in a dramatic play center will be awesome. The dramatic play center will encourage my students to act out their favorite stories and at the same time, they will improve their social skills and their language.

This project will help my students to have the opportunity to act out their favorite stories in their own dramatic play center in our classroom where they can present the stories to other students.

This project will encourage my students to read more stories to be able to act out the stories and use the puppets.
