This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to be fully engaged in a book with your family? My students would love the opportunity to have that experience!

My students come from a poverty neighborhood which is filled with gangs.

98% of the students at my school receive free lunch. My students are in homes where books are not available. Their parents hold 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet. Yet, I can proudly say that they are very motivated and eager to pick up a book to read.

My Project

By donating you will provide students with a rich literacy environment both at school and at home. Students will become lifelong readers due to your donation. You will make them dive deep into their book and instill the love of reading, not only for these students but for future students as well. These baggies will provide students with reading books and activities to do at home or at school. They will see the connection between reading comprehension and writing. My students will learn to love books!

Your donation will have a powerful impact on my students and future students as well.

By donating you will provide my students with the opportunity to become lifelong readers! Your donation will make students enjoy reading and look forward to reading with a buddy at home or at school!
