This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

An iPad is a wonderful tool for understanding financial literacy. Students can use it to learn math skills without even knowing that they are learning!

I teach at a wonderful, multi-cultural public school located in the San Fernando Valley.

We are a high poverty school, and many of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. My class includes students that are both English and non-English speakers, as well as students with disabilities. All of my students love playing "games" on the computer.

My Project

My students need an Apple iPad, cover and screen protector. With the new iPad, I would like to reinforce the concepts that kindergarteners will have to master. Fun apps will provide games on number operations, counting, money, telling time and geometry. Apps for teaching money skills are "Count Money", "Amazing Coin" and "Sell Lemonade" just to name few of the apps available. What an exciting way to learn financial literacy in kindergarten!

When you fund this project, my present kindergarten students as well as future kindergarten students will benefit from the iPad.

It will also give our children strong math skills that are crucial in money management. Thanks to CreditReport.com, I hope that you will fund it for our class.
