This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a group of 25 enthusiastic and energetic kindergarten students. They come to school everyday ready to learn new and exciting concepts. It is amazing to see how much progress each student has made in all the academic areas since the beginning of the school year.

The majority of our school population is made up of English language learners.

My kindergarten students are very hardworking and they do their best to accomplish their academic goals. Our enthusiastic students come to school prepared and ready to learn. They are all creative in their own ways. My students are beginning to write simple words and simple sentences. It is wonderful to see how excited they become when they are able to read or write on their own.

My Project

We would like to have a laminating machine and laminating pouches in our classroom to help us create and reuse learning center activities. I make many activities that help reinforce skills for students in the area of Mathematics and Language Arts. I will be able to create many hands-on activities for my students with these wonderful resources. My students will be able to tap into their creativity, expand their vocabulary, reinforce language and literacy skills and build upon math competency with these reusable activities. The best part is that since these activities are laminated, students will be able to write on them, erase them, and use them over and over again.

Having a laminating machine in class will help to preserve learning center activities, student work, learning charts and hands on activities.

My students will be able to reuse these activities all year long and future students will also benefit from these activities. We appreciate your generous donations and we thank you for helping to fund our project.
