This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember kindergarten? I would like my students to remember their experience in kindergarten. To remember all the fun activities they will be experiencing as they learn their alphabet and they learn to read.

My students come from a low socio-economic background, where both parents have to work in order to support the children.

The children are eager to learn and most begin kinder with limited English, Spanish being their primary language. All the students qualify for free lunch.

My Project

I am asking for art supplies in order for my students to create their memory books. Paper, markers, and glue. These items will allow my students to draw, color, and cut out their own designs and ideas. They will be able to create collages and paintings of books that we read throughout the year.

This project is important in that it will allow my students to express themselves.

They will discuss their creations and share what their drawings mean to them. The students will enjoy school and their kindergarten experience will be memorable!
