Kindergarten Mathmagicians

My Students

My students are wonders. They wonder about everything. Every interest is explored in our kindergarten learning stations. It's wonderful to see what can be created by a kindergartener. If we provide the materials, the students will come up with an ingenious way of making/creating it.

My students have become extraordinarily adept at taking an existing math game and morphing it into something that can be used in a new and challenging way.

My students are also team players who encourage and lift up their classmates so that everyone can succeed.

My Project

Kindergarteners need to move around to make magic happen. With these awesome Lakeshore math games, this will definitely happen.

Eye hand coordination, and then ultimately number recognition, will be a crucial element to the successful completion of all three of the math games.

The Nuts About Counting game will encourage the manual manipulation of the bolts. It also has a built in self correct. No more space equals no more room for bolts. The Let's Go Fishing game makes catching the correct quantity of fish an exhilarating challenge. The Knock Down! Number Challenge game is going to drive my kinders "wild". I'm going to use this game as a team building activity that encourages turn taking, number recognition, and friendly competition.

Laying the foundation for future math success is what I strive for each year. These math games will definitely assist me in my yearly goal.
