Help me give my students the tactical learning experience to help them learn new mathematical skills.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are creative, clever, and very spontaneous.
I like my classroom to be a hands-on, fun learning environment. When you walk into my classroom, you immediately see learning occurring. Children are engaged in small group projects, building interesting structures with blocks, and determining what sinks and what floats at the water table. I like to ask questions, pointing out children's successes, and guiding learning. I want my room to have a sense of purpose, organization, and excitement.
My Project
These amazing materials will be used to help enhance my Kindergarten Classroom with hands-on materials to help with their mathematical skills.
The number match game will help my students to recognize numbers as well as unlock the power of numbers!
These corresponding keys and locks will give them hands-on practice with number recognition, matching, and counting from 1 to 20—while building motor skills! My students will simply match the number on a key to the number word or stars on a lock. If the numbers match, the key will turn—and the lock will open for instant reinforcement!
Nuts about Counting will boost early counting skills - with nuts and bolts
My students will choose a bolt featuring a numeral from 1 to 10 and twist on the matching number of nuts...building fine motor skills as they learn! Each bolt is designed to hold the exact quantity of nuts—so kids get no-fail counting practice every time. Plus, the molded plastic nuts and bolts feature a quick-release design that makes it a cinch to remove the nuts and start again.
For all the other materials whether using traditional activities, such as counting with beans or coins, or more sophisticated manipulatives (e.g., geo-boards, tangrams, and pattern blocks), hands-on learning helps students to more readily understand concepts and boosts their self-confidence. These new materials will help create a different level of learning in my classroom.
