Kindergarten Kingdom Writing and Recording Memories!

My students need a Flip Video camera to record dramatic play presentations of familiar books at the end of our book studies and record stories we write.

My Students

We love to read and explore literature by studying such classic books as The Gingerbread Man, The Three Bears, The Little Red Hen, and The Three Pigs. After reading different versions of these stories we love to write our own versions and act them out. We would love to record our new stories!

We are kindergrtners in a suburban school district in Maryland.

We love to write and turn our memories into small moment stories. It is a great way for us to practice our beginning writing mechanics and record our memories at the same time. We love to share our writing with family and friends. We love to act out stories we have written and are hoping to have a way to record our stories.

My Project

We are only requesting one item...a flip video camera that will be easy for the children to use to record each other. This camera will be a motivator to the children and help them to learn how to present their stories to other people. The children will learn to use a simple camera and work together to make productions of their stories.

Writing is the heart of all we do in the Kindergarten Kingdom.

The donation of a camera would broaden the children's experiences in writing and in how to present a project. Kindergarten is the perfect time to help them learn how to present a project without feeling shy or uneasy. Their stories come from their hearts and being able to present them on camera would present a great opportunity for them.
