Kindergarten Is Like Home!

Help me give my students these home living items so that they can pretend and be creative with their peers!

My Project

The lack of in-person learning has impacted all 22 of my students. They were not able to be with other children their age and socialize/play and use those creative thinking skills on a daily basis. To help my students with these specific skills, I could use this dramatic play sink and stove to put in my home living center in my classroom and my students will get to spend time there talking and pretending with their peers. They will be able to pretend to cook and do dishes which are both life skills as well! They will be able to use play food and dishes and actually set a kitchen table for dinner. This will help build their vocabulary along with many other skills that will enhance their academic skills. Pretending, socializing, and language skills are some very critical skills at this young age. The students will be able to build friendships and learn how to play and work with other students in their group, which is something they missed out on during Covid.
