My Students

My kindergarteners are naturally curious and come to school eager to learn and engage with friends and teachers. They take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! Please help me give my students the opportunity to express their artistic side using different types of art materials.

Our school is located in West Harlem (Title I district).

Our student population is diverse and includes Hispanic, African American, Caucasian, Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian), Biracial, ENL (English as a New Language), and IEP (Individualized Education Program) students. Diversity within our school is something we embrace and nurture.

My Project

My kindergarten students are phenomenal artists! During Choice Time, many of them opt for going to Art where they are coloring and cutting rather than working on Tablets. Unfortunately, most of our supplies have been depleted and we need to replenish our materials. My students love to hang their creations all around our classroom. I want my students to express themselves artistically by using all different types of materials. With supplies like crafting kits, beads, jewels, and scratch paper my students will be able to develop their artistic side with their amazing artwork.
