My Students

Do you remember that drawing? The one with all the details, bright colors, and cool shapes? How about the essay you were challenged to write that you got an "A" on? Where are those things? My students work hard everyday and are extremely proud of their work; it should be laminated.

My students are Artist, Writers, and Architects disguised by the bodies of 5-year-olds.

They are dreamers who always try to do their best. They are honest and kind and they inspire me. Our school is a Title One school where the majority of students receive free breakfast and lunch. The population is made up of African Americans, Hispanics, and Bangladeshi students. My students will be collecting their best work throughout the year, in hopes to display it to the school community, in a Kindergarten Exhibition.

My Project

In order to preserve student work and leave them with a portfolio, I would like to maintain it through lamination. My students need a laminator so that their work can be archived. Laminating student work will allow them to build a portfolio, build their self esteem, and give them the opportunity to share what they are proud of. Students will track their own academic and artistic growth. At the end of the year, students will share their work with the school community.

Laminating student work will allow them to share the work they have worked hard on and have pride in.

Laminating student work will allow them to see the importance of their work and take ownership of it.
